Open Question: Do you think doctors are overpaid?
This is a very common subject among those with no idea just how much time, effort, and money put into their career. I’m 14 and would like to be an obgyn thus I kind of know some stuff about the feild of medicine.
Doctors have to pay all this insurance stuff and to my understanding is very expensive. On top of that they’ve got to pay rent/mortage, groceries and all of lifes necessities just like everyone else. Also I just have to say don’t look at that stuff on greys anatomy and other medical dramas because not all of that is true.
For those that watch greys anatomy have you ever noticed that on the rare ocassion they are home they are extremely tired and they aren’t living in these mansion as many people think. All kindds of doctors doctors are clichéd all the time and stereotyped all the time.
Do you even have any idea how much money they are spending to consequentley benefit you the patient? Yes, they care a whole lot more than they should for people who don’t give a flyin kite about their lives or well being. Schools expensive people! Student loans don’t pay for themselves ya know.
With student loans in mind think about the things I mentioned before (their own insurance, housing, cars…. Just think about the things you pay for they pay for too)
Open Question: do former employers benefit if a life insurance policy is not paid?
My father got a life insurance policy from his employer and in 1984 the benfeciciary was a bank trust. In 1888 he changed the beneficiaries to his children. The Insurance Company is giving every reason they can not to pay: like we do not possess a policy, or the employer must deliver the policy, etc. The employer is not exactly helping either. What gives here? and does the employer benefit financially in any way if the policy is not paid.
mbrcatz: it was a term life insurance policy. He retired in 1990 and died in 2009. I’ll call the companies benefits dept. next week. I already faxed them what they asked for.
Open Question: If I buy a million dollar whole life insurance policy on my wife and I die first – What will my wife be paid?
So, I am the owner of the policy on my wife which let us say has a cash value of 450,000 dollars and the death benefit was promised to be a million dollars. But instead of my wife dying – I, the owner of the policy, die. My will states that all my assets pass to my spouse. So what will my wife be paid – 450,000 or a million or some other figure?
