Open Question: hi everyone – an uninsured driver crashed into us what should i do?
the bloke lives a couple of streets away from us – he admitted accident was his fault but has no insurance and cant afford to pay to have our car fixed (£1500 damage). our policy is fully comp but they say if the other guy has no insurance we will lose our no claims bonus, will have to pay our policy excess £450, also they will persue the other guy for whatever else they pay to repair our car. Cant they get the money back from the motor insurance bureau? – (i dont want any reprisals from the other guy as he only lives 2 streets away) many thanks for info.
Open Question: I’m trying to find answers regarding medical histories stored by insurance companies for a disability case.?
Who stores medical histories for insurance companies? Who can access such info? Can my doctor; can I in all cases?
Say an insurance company, such as Prudential, knows more about my risks than I did ~ when I purchased life insurance ~. Does a company, like like a large insurance company, keep this info if one kept even part of the money from that insurance policy in their hands, after a corporate reshuffling that left one without life insurance?
Or does such an insurance company hide behind neoconservative legal opinion that states a company can virtually do whatever it wants to?
I know they keep all the records they can, so-as to be able to debate the merits of a claim in court and keep fraud down.
The question is, who, what, when, where and why not give access?
Seriously, my ex is a psyche nurse.
A very large sum of money went missing.
I perhaps cannot prove I even had said cash without access to medical records.
The psyche hospital she worked at has repeatedly “helped her case”.
And I’m perhaps facing deadbeat dad law federal jail time after several incidences of attempted murder in jail for both civil law (deadbeat dad) and procedural law “violations” (I’m a squealer, yup, couldn’t be quiet after the truth serum / head-wounds).
If insurance companies can help prove employment (never worked for the law without being hurt BAD) then why do I have this problem?
Can’t someone help?
Open Question: Progressive Insurance wont pay for my stolen minivan?
After a two month grueling investigation. My progressive insurance will not honor the claim of my stolen ’03 Windstar Minivan!! I am outraged. Why am I paying for Insurance? I am the victim twice…my life has been on hold for two months now. I have cooperated with every request, verbally, in person, via fax, cell phone records, family members who don’t even have anything to do with this pulled into question!! I am still paying for a vehicle that I don’t have. Progressives reason states that “there is no way that the vehicle could have been stolen without a key, it’s a transporter vehicle and would and can not start without a key in the ignition” WTF…do they want from me? I need this claim paid so I can move on with my life. What can I do? Do I need a lawyer?
In response to the last comment. I have never been late or missed a payment on my loan. I provided them with both sets of keys. One of which they claim did not come in the package sent via UPS. Like yourself I don’t know why anyone would want a minivan but it happened & now me, my husband & two sets of twins (4) kids are all piled up in a sedan.
