Open Question: trying to decide if this loan company is legitimate? I need a second and third opinion, let me know?
I do not have great credit and I am looking online for a personal loan, I have been emailed by tons of scammers asking me for up-front fees of $250 etc. to get the loan from them. I have tried everywhere and I have decided that I cannot obtain an UNSECURED personal loan. I applied on one website that looked legit, and I was called the next day by a company called century financial incorporated. Their website is www.century-financialinc.com. they have offered me a SECURE personal loan at a rate of 8.75 % from a 3rd party lender. Since I do not have the credit rating to get an UNSECURED personal loan (which means I recieve money with no collateral or co-signer). This company has outlined to me 3 different options to SECURE my personal loan. 1. co-signer. must have a cosigner with perfect credit. I said no thanks. 2. monetary collateral….which they have outlined the payments of $235/month which will be taken out of direct deposit, they have asked for a lump sum of my first 4 monthly payments, which turns out to be $940. Option 3. is Insurance coverage I would have to purchase from them $1800, to secure the loan, after 5 consecutive months of on-time payments, the $1800 would be refunded.

I am seriously considering option #2, sending them $940 they said I would send it securly through western union, and within 3-4 hours, the loan would be deposited into my account, or I could have a certified cheque delivered to my house via fedex. I just have worries that after I send them $940, nothing will happen. I have talked to this man adam wilcox on the phone, he sounds like a very nice, understanding, knowledgable financial advisor, I do trust him I expressed my concerns with him and he assures me that this whole process is legitimate. can somebody visit thier website for me, the website states an actual address under contact information which is always a good sign, let me know how the website looks to you, below is the first page of the loan contract they sent me. I am on the fence about this one, but I really need a loan, but I do not want to be scammed. please advise on your opinions, or if anybody has experience dealing with this company? or a loan process like this, does this sound like the general way things need to be done? please give your opinions…
thank you very much

Resolved Question: re-asked and reworded. Why do people not see the issue on forced federal health insurance in this manner?
I asked this question and think some of you missed the point. I am not attacking the health care policy. I am not attacking whether or not it’s a good idea or bad idea. I am attacking the thought process that because certain people think it’s a good idea, why then do they feel they have the right to force those that don’t agree to comply.

The health care bill just is the issue at the moment because it’s the big talk, big deal. But this reasoning can be applied to ANY and ALL government policies.

In the words of the founding fathers on this very subject…

“God doesn’t try to change the will of man, why should we?”

See the problem with issues such as this is the way we think of government. A government consists of a group of individuals. A group of individuals has no more of a right to impose something on an individual in the group, than just one individual by himself has.

What I mean is this. Do I have the right to decide that my next door neighbor should give me $10 a week for the rest of his life, to make his life better in any way? Do i have the right to say, “if you refuse to pay me that money then I will lock you up in my basement until such a time as I feel fit that you have learned your lesson?

No, the answer is no I do not have the right to do that. Now following those same lines of thinking, no matter how big the group is that wants my neighbor to put away $10 a week for his own benefit. they still do not have any right to do so. With that being stated as it is, taxes are a violation of your rights, forced support of welfare is a violation of your rights. Forced financial support of any government policy is against the rights of an individual. Regardless of whether or not it’s in the best interest of the individual it is imposed on.

The constitution just lists the rights that all people have. It is not a complete list of rights, but just because it doesn’t specifically state that specific right. Doesn’t mean that I do not have the right to say, no I will not pay for that. If you want to ask him for the money and he agrees to pay for it then it is different. But you have no right to say, “you do not have a choice, it’s for your own good, we voted.” I hope that makes sense to you and you start to think about what the role of government really is. Since the role of government is to ensure that no mater how big your group is telling me I HAVE to do that. I still have the right to say, I do not agree and I am not going to do that. And you don’t have the right to try to make my life miserable so I consent to your control. That is the job of a government, though you wouldn’t know it since there are more people who see it as a way to force consent on such issues as this.

Why is it I feel that I am the only one that sees that this is the way our government is supposed to work. I mean look at the Constitution itself. What is the bill of rights other than a list of things I cannot be forcefully taken away from me, or another way of looking at it is a list of things I cannot forcefully take away from you.

Maybe it’s a good idea, maybe it’s not. Either way I have the right to choose for myself whether or not I want it or I want to fund it.

I guess my main question is this. Not whether having this insurance is good or bad, but rather why do people who think it’s a good thing feel they have the right to take my money to make me pay for it? And if I tell them no after they have decided I must, what then gives them the right to say, pay or I’ll take your money in fines and/or take away your freedoms.
Lol, Froggy, ur a piece of work man. I am far from a republican, or a Democrat for that matter. I am also far from any other regurgitated group that you have been taught that certain people who “think a certain way” belong in. And second who will pay for me? I will with the insurance that I pay for weekly. Did you even read the question? Or did you just read the title and regurgitate some random quip you heard on some news station? You don’t deserve your 2 points for that. lol.
THIS QUESTION IS USING HEALTH CARE AS AN EXAMPLE BUT HAS VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH HEALTH CARE, THE POLICY OF HEALTH CARE, OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY KIND OF CARE IN GENERAL.
ColdFuse you are along the same thinking but now expand and apply that to ALL government policies…
