Open Question: Why must our media always dominate the airwaves with 1 subject and 1 subject only?
Whether it’s Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, OJ Simpson, etc… they are always talking about that thing only. When will they learn that we want a diverse media? And by diverse I don’t mean setting up various conflicts in order to promote some capitalist rivalry agenda in order to make more money. They could honestly give 2 sh**s about the news obviously so what is it going to take to get it through to them?

For instance, before I found Progressive Auto Insurance I was paying out the rear end from companies like Geico that are talking out of their rear end when it comes to the promotions they fund compared to what their actual rates are. I saved 250 dollars on my very first car by going with Progressive but what if Progressive never was? What if Progressive never existed at all? Then I would be stuck with Geico.
You might say that someone may have taken Geico’s place, but whom exactly would? It’s a dog eat dog world and a business modeled around the 90s way of doing things should no longer be allowed to succeed in the new millennium.

Why then aren’t there rules in place for these businesses? Why then are they just allowed to do whatever they want until they jump right off a cliff like these banks have done? Can we really trust them? About as far as we can trust anybody else which these days isn’t very many people from what I’ve seen.

So let’s say we could put rules in place… what would be the rules? What sort of policy would we think up to push this in the right direction without totally nationalizing the business? We don’t need to mandate what they are doing but we simply define what they are allowed to do just like it is with our constitution. They should not be allowed to get away with bloody murder putting up every piece of useless news they can get their greedy FOREIGN hands on… and neither should other businesses be allowed to do so much severe destruction to themselves that they risk the very lives of themselves as well as their customers and this nation.

Please no comments like, “Is there a question in there somewhere”. Don’t waste my time.

Open Question: S.O.S. Help me organize my life with your wisdom?
I am getting quite overwhelmed with a lot of things, and I am not able to think straight well enough to plan out the rest of my life. I am 14, going on 15. Freshman in High School. I’m confused about working, school, drivers ed, classes to pick for the job I want, colleges, everything.

So, I need to get only A’s and B’s for my mom to let me take driver’s ed because of insurance rates.. For the most part I have A’s and B’s, with the exception of a D in Math because we only have two assignments graded and I missed a couple problems on one of them. But that grade should be going up within a week or so.
I live in Boise, Idaho.. Where could I get a job? Who would hire a 15 year old girl? What colleges could I get a good deal for a degree for writing/journalism? What GPA would I need to get to those colleges? Where do I go from there to write for a magazine or newspaper? What high school classes should I take?

I am desperate, Somebody help.

Resolved Question: At what point to we say, “Enough is Enough!!??”?
I realize that everyone is taking a hard hit from this economy problem. What I DON’T understand is how we as the citizens are expected to support this.

-Airline fees are astronomical and in my opinion, reaching illegal status
-Gas prices are going back up
-Tuition is being raised
-Groceries have increased
-Rent is astronomical ($1,700 for one bedroom!)
-Student loan fees interest rates are assuring life-long payments for students after graduation
-Utilities have steadily increased each year
-Doctors are charging more, insurance companies are paying less
-People are losing their jobs as well as their investment/retirement money…

At what point do WE fold? Every company seems to think that their ‘policy’ is federal law! “It’s our ‘policy’ to charge you a fee for such-and-such.” Oh really?? Did the PRESIDENT say that?

At what point do we say, STOP! We are DRAINED!? There is nothing left to tax or fee!

It is MY ‘policy’ to say that every company who charges me a fee should no longer expect my business. I’ve had enough.
