Open Question: Can anyone help me with this letter?
I need to see it has any mistakes. The spacing of the paragraphs is incorrect due to the format of this site not my own doing. Here is the letter:
Dear, Ms **********
On July 7th of this year I asked your daughter Ann Marie to attend a 3:25 PM showing of the movie “Up”. In addition to Ann Marie I also invited Katelyn ***** to see the movie with us. At around 2 o’clock Katelyn claimed she needed direly discuss an issue with her friend Nicholas *****. I dropped her off promptly at her house. At 3 o’clock I contacted Katelyn asking through text messaging if her plans to attend the movie had changed. She did not reply to any of the three text messages I sent her. Assuming that Katelyn had changed her mind about her attendance, which is not unusual for her, I proceeded with Ann Marie to the movie. About fifteen minutes into the movie Ann Marie was called by Katelyn and Ann Marie expressed her dislike about answering and asked me to answer. I proceeded to go outside the movie to answer the call as not to interrupt the movie for the other attending patrons. As I answered Katelyn she angrily spoke to me expressing her anger for not picking her up at 3 o’clock. I explained that she had not answered any of our attempts to contact her and in a diplomatic attempt I rushed to her house so she could see the movie with us.
What became an attempt to prevent Katelyn from being angry and upset soon became at traffic stop. I exceeded the speed limit in my attempt to quickly rush to her house so she did not miss the movie. I was pulled over by a police officer and stopped. The police officer issued a disciplinary action in the form of a fine. This routine stop that should have taken minutes took about an hour. My insurance card for the month of July was not updated. Although I had insurance coverage the card stating so was not in my possession. As the officer contacted my insurance provider to confirm my insurance coverage I realized that I had Ann Maries phone in my pocket. I panicked knowing that Ann Marie would surely be in trouble for my careless mistake. After receiving my traffic ticket I drove back to the cinema to find that Ann Marie was not there. She had been recently picked up by her boyfriend Justin Reggi. I met up with her in the parking lot and she requested her phone back. I apologized profusely and she stated that she was in loads of trouble due to my careless mistake and perilous driving.
Ann Marie is honestly one of the most thoughtful and respectful people I know. I would hate to know that she suffered ramifications for my actions. She had no idea that I took her phone and drove to Katelyn’s house. Please Ms. ********** do not share this letter with Ann Marie for I believe this would anger her as she has requested we not continue our friendship. This letter is to make you aware your responsible daughter was not at fault for the indecent that occurred that day. I also am apologizing personally to you. I absolutely understand how distressing it must have been to not know where your daughter was and if she was safe or not. I wish I could go back and prevent this from happening but I unfortunately life does not have a backspace button. Thank You for your time.
Sincerely,
Mohamed *******

B I don’t know if your comment is in reference to the fact that my name is Mohamed and there is a common stereotype of physical abuse in Islamic culture. My ethnicity is Egyptian. Assuming that I am for one a first generation American is false and incorrect. If you are okay with physical abuse you should contact a therapist. Physical abuse is never the answer to anything . I do not condone it or allow it.
