Open Question: My “friends” won’t talk to me because I came to them for help?
A little over a week ago I sent a text to a friend telling her I was depressed and not sure how to handle the situation. She knows I legitimately suffer from depression, take medication, etc.
Anyway, she wouldn’t even talk to me, just kept telling me to call my doctor.
At the time I didn’t quite see the point to that, and I was afraid if I went to anyone in the medical profession they would over-react to the situation.
Long story short, some things I said led my friend to believe I was suicidal. I don’t believe I was, then again I’ve learned first hand that when you’re upset about things your own perception can be different from that of others around you.
Anyway she and another friend ended up calling the police, who came to my home, cuffed me, and took me to a hospital where after waiting 5 hours I saw a doctor and was released.
The next day one of my friends cut ties with me completely, and the other said she was still willing to be my friend, but I haven’t spoken to her in 10 days (to spite having called, texted, emailed, etc).
They both said that they did what they did because they cared about me. But then they pretty much just disappeared from my life, leaving me to deal with the repercussions of that night all on my own. I also have reason to believe they told what happened to other people I know, and as a result people seem to be avoiding me, which I’ll be honest does not help the situation at all.
I’ve gone from being angry about what happened, hurt because I lost people I cared about, and confused because I have no idea how to fix things.
They both made me feel like I was the bad person here. That by going to them I was doing something horrible and wrong to them. I of course feel like I was the victim here because I didn’t choose to feel how I did, choose to be taken against my will, choose to be embarrassed being taken away by police in front of my neighbors, choose to incur a large hospital bill that insurance will not cover, or choose to loose my friends.
The only lesson I learned from all this is that you can’t go to anyone about anything, including people you think are your friends. That you’re better off just keeping everything to yourself… no matter how much you feel you need to do otherwise.
Was I wrong for going to them? Was it right? Should I even want them around considering how they just walked away from me after everything that happened?
I’m just really confused and don’t know what’s right or wrong anymore, and I’m making myself physically ill from all the stress involved.
And no offense to the religion folk out there, but I do not need to find Jesus, be saved by god, or anything like that.

Thank you for the comment, but just a little not about your solution.
Identifying the issues in your life and fixing them may sound like an easy thing to do, but in practice it’s far more difficult.
It’s like telling a homeless person that all they have to do is get an education, a job, and things will be just fine.
I think if things were truly that simple, there would be far less problems in the world.
Open Question: How should I propose to him?
Okay, long story short, I’m 17, my fiance is 18. He has obviously already proposed to me. Before any of you start judging us for our age and decisions, you don’t know us, and we have some legitimate reasons for our choices. My mother supports us because she understands our reasoning. He lives with me at the moment. We are going to have an informal wedding. Basically we are waiting on some medical insurance things that I really need taken care of but once that goes through we are going to just pick a day that we want and go that morning. My mom is taking us to Nevada to get married by the justice of the peace then going tandem bungee jumping. This is in about a month or so. Basically I’m sick so on a weekend that I’m feeling okay after this insurance is complete I want to do a small proposal saying something like “Will you marry me now/today?” when he wakes up. I was thinking of writing it on a brownie or something, but I just wanted some ideas on how to make it special. Nothing extravagant, but something thoughtful and funny or cute. I’m not going to take your exact ideas because I want it to be something that fits us, but something basic. Any ideas?

Open Question: I was involved in a bad 4 wheeler accident one month ago.?
Went through a wooden fence head first and dropped 10 ft into a canal going 40. Severe knee injury. Hospital “stabilized” me and referred me to an orthapedic. I have no insurance so I never went. Well since the accident, I have not been able to walk properly and it would appear I tore a major muscle in my knee. Obv I need an MRI to confirm this. I lost my job because of the injury and I can not walk properly. I do not know how I am going to pay my rent if I cant work. But no one will take care of me without insurance. I can not lock my leg straight and range of motion is limited and slow. I limp everywhere.
Help.
I do not know anything about public healthcare. I live in south fla. Are there any govt. programs? I am a FT student, and was working FT untill the injury. I don’t know what to do. I live on my own and bills are piling up and I have no income. Hospitals will just let you limp around on a bad knee unable to work and function for the rest of your life? I need medical attention.
