Resolved Question: Conservatives! Would you tell us about the good old days?
Conservatives hate regulations like knowing what is in what you’re eating or what is in what medicine you are taking. In the days before the FDA when enough people died from a product the producer had a natural business incentive to improve it or else suffer on their bottom line. That was freedom. However I want to know more. Tell us about how affordable quality health care was back in the day, before all that regulation made it otherwise. How safe the products people bought were. The average life expectancy and infant mortality rate until Big Brother screwed it all up.
I’d just love to go back to the days when I could expect to live to be 30(average male life expectancy for a male 1900) because I had to work 16 hours a day seven days a week and risk life and limp hopping trains to find a job without health care or even unemployment insurance. But I just don’t know the best way. Cons, would be please be so kind as to tell us to achieve the Utopia that was the year 1900 before all that government intervention?

Resolved Question: What Would You Do If You Were This Man or Woman?
What would you do if you were a 26 year old male (pretend for a moment if you are a woman), lived in your mom’s house for free (literally FREE, no rent or utilities), had no job due to layoff and collecting an unemployment check, and basically only has to pay for food, gas, car insurance and a weed habit… and your girlfriend of nearly 10 years comes to you and tells you that she’s pregnant… but not only is she pregnant that she was raped, so it’s a possibility (50/50 chance) that you are not the father. What would you do?
I know a man who is in this situation, and he doesn’t want a baby anyway, even if it was 100% his because he’s not willing to grow up (hey, why would he when mommy pays for everything?). He even tried to help out his girlfriend and himself, by trying to pay for an abortion because regardless, he’s just not ready to have a kid… but he’s mad at her because she chose to keep the baby despite the situation. He’s mad that his life might have changed to one that might force him to think of someone else other than himself. He’s actually treating his girlfriend like crap; he actually said something to her along the lines of “I don’t know if it’s my baby so I can’t invest all my emotions into you”. I think he actually doesn’t believe her. He even told her that if the baby wasn’t his, they probably wouldn’t end up staying together. BUT he says he wants to attend all the doctor’s appointments with her, “just in case.”
To me, he’s a worthless piece of garbage, but sometimes I feel like I can’t say anything because I don’t know what -I- would do in that situation. Am I being too hard on him? I kinda think she’s crazy because she puts up with that. I mean, I can’t imagine it. It is bad enough that she’s pregnant from something like that, but being treated like that by her boyfriend who supposedly loves her? I am probably more mad at her because she chooses to keep him around.
I care about them both and just don’t know what to think or if I should take sides or what. It’s driving me crazy because they both bitch to me about each other. I need an outsiders opinion!

WELLLLL this bitch I hate named Jane ahd a big party and invited me and told me I look so slutttie in my dress!
I knew she had the party becuase it was her parents anniverysary and they were out, so I wanted them to find out.
I went into their basement and they had a hose attached to the wall. I turned the hose on full and left it on the floor.
Maybe 4 hours later (I did this at 5:30, it was like 9:30 now) we noticed that the carpets were all wet everywhere.
The tiles were wet too.
We dried them, but the water kept coming.
Jane went out to her backyard to get a mop, and she noticed the grass was very very very wet, which was weird cuz it wasnt raining!
Her deck was also soaking wet.
She went back inside and now the sofa was wet everywhere.
JANE WAS PANICKING!
She called her uncle who is like 21 and hes a carpenter and told him that everything is wet.
He told her that something could be really wrong. She said the carpet is soaking wet and she wants to fix it before her parents get back!
He told her to literally CUT the entire carpet out with a blade.
She did and UNDERNEATH, water was GUSHING out from the floor!
I made sure she didnt look at the basement, but then she walked into the hallway where the basement is and she slipped and there was like a RIVER rushing down this hall!
She made me go upstairs with her and change into dirty clothes so she could fix the problem! (She made everyone else leave) She didnt know who did this or what happened.
I took all my clothes off and she gave me one of her old bathing suits which was very tight and I put it on.
We went back downstairs and she put her brother on speaker phone and he told her to go see if the water was coming from the basement.
I knew it was gonna come out so we walked to the basement, and we couldnt open the door!
But lots of water was coming from under the door.
Then like the door had started to weaken from the water… so we broke it down and A BUNCH of water gushhed out omg it was scary!
Her entire basment had practically flooded, it smelled sooo bad!! There was water everywhere and it was dirty!
Jane went on the phone and told her brother everything… her brother was like she needs to get the basement dry so she can solve the problem (her brother lives in New York and we live in Toronto in Canada)
So she went outside.
We got bricks and we broke all the basement windows.
It didnt make a difference.
She told me shes gonna shut down the houses water supply and she tried to and just got hurt.
She FINALLY decided to call her parents but the phone line and electricity stopped.
She made me get my phone and she called her parents and told them everything.
They came back (I left)
They tried to fix it but then they called the police.
Her entire house has water damage and its no longer safe or stable to live in.
They need to either rebuild the entire thing, insurance will cover it however, or move.
They cant find out who did it. Because.
All I did was turn the handle.
Then after that it got flooded and the finger prints got washed away.
No one saw me go down.
MY QUESTIONS:
Will I get caught?
How did the deck and stuff get flooded too?
What should they do?
Why was the carpet getting flooded?
