My question is… Do you think this is fair?
The sex offender is actually me. I was convicted of 1 count possession child pornography (pornographic image of a 15 year old) over 12 years ago.
Here is the monthly financial breakdown paid by taxpayers.
$927 Welfare
$423 Food stamps
$1064 Monthly living stipend ($35 daily) will explain later
$1258 Pell Grant ($5035 per semester) – I go Fall, Spring and Summer (year round)
$436 monthly-prorated tax refund ($5035 refund)
Medicare eligible (free health insurance) because I am unemployed
I get free high speed Internet because the city I live in has citywide hot spots
I get free cell phone service because of my income – and because I live in a Winnebago, I can’t have a landline (I get this through a local assistance service)
I am clearing (CLEARING) over $4100 per month with full medical benefits.
I go to college full time and get the full Pell grant. Because I am legitimately homeless, and ~ironically~ a felon (and am 1/8 indian), the University I go to has given me a full ride scholarship – which means 100% of the Pell grant goes to me. For the next two years, I will receive the Pell grant and for the next four years, my college is 100% paid for. If I remain on the honors roll, my Masters will be paid for. I will receive all other benefits for the rest of my life (if I can’t get a job).
The $35 daily living stipend is this: Because I am a sex offender and can’t find a place to live, the police give me $35 (tax funded) a day to get a cheap hotel room. I actually live in a fully paid off Winnebago. I still get the $35 because I park my Winnebago in an R.V. park for $5 a day and the laws state that is legitimate. I have to produce 3 rental applications weekly to continue receiving this stipend (takes me 1 hour per week to fill 3 applications out). I want to be turned away now.
I have been interviewed 3 times on the local news to outcries of disgust. My civil rights lawyer has represented me each time there has been outcries. The judges’ hands are tied and have to rule in my favor because the negative ruling will affect people with no background.
Why am I telling you this? I have honestly tried to get a job, place to live, become a productive member of society… etc. I am now a pariah – which is fine, because I am legally living high on the hog now – at YOUR expense. Believe me, many people have tried to put a stop to this, but can’t. If they change the law, it will legally have to apply to all people in my position (sex offender or not – ex-con or not). I have done my time, I am no longer on supervised release – so I am entitled to all the rights the average citizen has. I am only at the mercy of the court of public opinion. Until the laws change I will continue to live on your dime. So, even though you don’t like me – you still have to pay for me. Thank you.
I am going to have the how-to published. When over 700,000 registered sex offenders start applying (and getting) these benefits, we will see how fast these draconian laws change. The only way that it will negatively affect sex offenders is if the Constitution is changed (which forbids trampling over the rights of one segment of society). I have a really good civil rights lawyer (which is not funded by tax payers, but by the ACLU).

…I only put in a because if I understand how to do one of these, I’m sure I can manage the rest. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to put in the formulas to have the results appear in the cell. I tried just putting the formula into the cell and hitting enter, but just got a 0.

there is a process called “prorating” it is determing how long your sopposed to live and breaks down the money, ex…if i live 40 more years the SSI will take approx. 158.00 a month until the $100,000 is paid back, only if i can get the insurance co to protate a wavier over my life expectency. insurance co don’t wan’t to sign b/c they say SSI eill get their money from someone and they need to protect their clint, which is the person i’ve sued.
