What is the difference in whole life and Term life insurance?
Open Question: At what point does this health care debate actually address the REAL issue, Health REFORM?
I see talk about coverage, I see talk about costs for insurance, I see talk about greedy Insurance companies, I see talk about deferred taxation, I see talk about long term care, short term care, mandated lifestyles, advisory boards, etc and etc. But what I do NOT see is health care reform.
I don’t see the costs of procedures being talked about, I don’t see the costs of pharmaceuticals going down (for those about to retort, pill costs will only be spread over the Entire spectrum of people under this bill which does nothing to lower the cost but just to spread the cost out), I don’t see reform to the health care system, meaning the way doctors practice and charge, meaning the way nurses practice and charge, meaning the way life prolonging measures are done, etc. and etc.
The ONLY thing I see is the cost of insurance being transferred from a private agency into the hands of the Federal Government.
How can anyone say this is health care reform?
Open Question: purchasing of universal life insurance as a gift for a not for profit?
I am 56 and would like to purchase a paid up insurance policy in the amount of 50,000 for the not for profit agency that my disabled adult child resides with. This would be a gift to the agency not for her use. How much could I expect to spend for this policy. I have been told that it would be about 30,000. And it would be a term until age 115? Any other suggestions for the gift giving. What about the tax right off on this
